Announcement on the Collection of World Everlasting Development Themed Typical Cases and Creative Works
To whom it may concern:
Everlasting development is a global consensus formed to address the environmental and developmental challenges faced by current and future generations. However, the realization of everlasting development still faces many challenges. It requires an in-depth exploration of the underlying contradictions and the search for effective solutions. To this end, the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, in collaboration with relevant international and domestic organizations, plans to initiate the World Everlasting Development Forum in 2025, with the first phase meeting, International Symposium on Everlasting Development, to be held in October, 2024, in Beijing, China. To complement the symposium, we are now widely soliciting typical cases and creative works on the theme of world everlasting development from all sectors of society. This initiative is intended to showcase the innovative practices and artistic expressions in the field of everlasting development from all walks of life, to promote exchange and cooperation, and to enhance public environmental awareness and sense of social responsibility. The relevant matters are notified as follows.
I. Purpose of the Solicitation
By collecting typical cases and creative works on the theme of world everlasting development, we aim to gather and showcase the innovative practices and artistic expressions of all sectors of society in the field of everlasting development. This will enhance public environmental awareness and a sense of social responsibility, and jointly promote the achievement of everlasting development goals.

For the Future in harmony with nature, with each other, and with inner selves.
III. Target of the Solicitation
Open to individuals and institutions, especially environmentalists, artists, designers, students, and researchers.
IV. Content of the Solicitation
(1) Typical Cases
Practical cases on the theme of world everlasting development, including but not limited to community environmental actions, green business models of enterprises, innovative government policies, educational projects, international cooperation projects, etc.
(2) Creative Short Videos
Creative short videos related to the theme of everlasting development, including documentary films, microfilms, promotional films, animations, and other forms.
(3) Artistic Design
Artistic design works related to the theme of everlasting development, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, installation art, and other forms.
V. Work Requirements
1. Content Requirements: The content should be in line with the theme, true, positive, innovative, and inspiring.
2. Technical Requirements:
- Typical Cases: The case text should be distinctive in theme, clear in structure, well-organized, detailed in information, and vivid in language. It should be authentic, innovative, and effective, with a word count controlled within 3000 words. Highlight the specific practices, unique features, and actual effects of the case, and provide 5-8 supporting images or a 1-3 minute video.
- Short Videos: The format must be MP4, with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a resolution of 1080p or above. The duration of the work should be within 5 minutes, and it is recommended to have Chinese and English subtitles. The production should be of high quality, easy to understand, and have a high degree of scientific, innovative, artistic value, and a good exemplary and guiding role. It should have a high spread and influence on TV channels, the internet, and new media platforms.
- Artistic Design: The image format submitted online should be JPEG or PNG, with a resolution of no less than 300dpi. If adopted, the organizer may invite you to display the physical work at the forum.
3. Copyright Requirements: The submitted works must be original, and the author must ensure to have complete intellectual property rights and not infringe on the legal rights of any third party.
VI. Solicitation Process
1. Announcement of the Call
- Time: August 2024
- Released through multiple channels such as the official website, social media, and news media.
2. Submission of Works
- Time: Now until September 25, 2024
- Applicants need to submit their works online (website: https://www.wjx.cn/vm/Yhrx9tY.aspx#) and fill in the relevant registration information.
3. Evaluation of Works
- Time: Late September 2024
- The review is divided into preliminary and final evaluations, conducted by experts.
4. Publicity of Results
- Time: From the end of September to early October 2024
- The results will be publicized on the official website and social media.
5. On-site Display
- Time: Mid-October 2024 and 2025
- Promoted and displayed on-site during the International Symposium on Everlasting Development and the World Everlasting Development Forum.
VII. Evaluation Criteria
1. Relevance to the Theme (40%): Whether the work accurately reflects the theme of everlasting development.
2. Creativity and Innovation (30%): Whether the work is novel in creativity and has a unique perspective.
3. Artistic Expression (20%): The artistic quality and presentation techniques of the work.
4. Social Impact (10%): Whether the work has the ability to guide and inspire the public.
VIII. Promotion and Dissemination
1. Media Cooperation: Cooperate with well-known domestic and foreign media for comprehensive and multi-angle publicity and reporting.
2. Social Media: Widely disseminate through social media platforms such as WeChat and Weibo.
3. Offline Promotion: Publicize and promote at the International Symposium on Everlasting Development and the World Everlasting Development Forum.
